The title of this post is pretty much what this week has been about. I've taken this week pretty much off to get myself rested and recovered to start back up with some big training before the season begins. It seems early to be thinking about the season starting but for me it is less than 2 months away. It's going to be either a 3 or 6 hour race. I haven't decided which one I want to do yet. I'm actually have another race scheduled for the next day.
Today was time to get back on the bike. I haven't ridden or done anything since the team ride on Tuesday. I was supposed to go out and ride outside a couple of different times but didn't make either. First was supposed to be a ride with Ryan and some guys from the shop. My wifes family came up for my sons basketball game and we had to do some stuff with them so that ride was out. Ryan and I were then going to get out for a night ride later but I forgot about a couple of other things I had to do so I had to cancel that ride (sorry Ryan). I ended up back on the trainer for a quick hour. I didn't do any intervals or anything to strenous but instead with having a week off I went for a zone 2 tempo session. The legs feel really good and I was really having to watch myself not to get going to much.
Tomorrow I'm getting things ramped back up again. Core work in the morning and then trainer in the pm. I have a pretty busy week this week so I'm probably not going to get all the trainer time in that I would like but I'll just have to do what I can. I already have something going on pretty much every night this week except for tomorrow.
