I did not play it to smart last night. I went to my friends wedding and met up with some of my old co-workers and we did what we did after we got off work years ago. We drank. We drank way to much for me. Since I've started getting more serious about my cycling I've pretty much stopped drinking except for the occasional beer or glass of wine. Anyways I had way to much to drink last night and I was in no shape to be up at 7:30 to do my planned 25 mile road ride. After getting out of bed around 12:15 pm and got myself together enough to head out for my planned ride with some friends. I had to stop by the shop and pick up my Mountain Bike which was having a new cassette, chain and cables put on it. I left from the shop to meet up with the guys and was starting to feel a bit better (the headache was starting to fade). Felt good to be out in 60 degrees riding. After that we took a tour of the southside of Lincoln via the paved trails. After last weeks ride through the slush/ice/snow mix on the rail trails the paved trails looked good and I had never been out on them before so it was a nice change of scenery. I'm not sure how many miles I put in but not bad for being hung over and not having eaten anything other than a bag of shot bloks(one of my new favorite treats) while out on the bike.
Tomorrow unfortunately will be back on the trainer early in the morning and then some puppy business. When I finished my ride I stopped in the shop to talk to the guys and I am going to start working there tomorrow. Like I said before this should be a fun job and a way to help pay for my cycling habit which is getting more expensive by the day. Here's a couple picks I got while out on the trail.
I had to stop and take a pic of the geese sitting out on a frozen pond. For some reason it just looked funny. Later.

Water harp, lots and lots of water. Good luck at the shop. I know what you mean about the cost. I'm building up a new bike from scratch, yikes, maybe I'll need a second job.

Good job getting out even though you weren't feeling great. Have fun at the new job. Can't wait until the trail dry out.
Nice ride on Saturday! Hope we didn't slow you down too much!
