What have I gotten myself into. I've decided to stay close to home this weekend and try out road racing. I will be racing in the Omaha Cycling Weekend Papillion Twighlight Criterium. 'm already registered and Paid. Not sure how this is going to go. I'll be racing Category 5 which from what I understand is the equivalent to a beginner category. I am feeling very drained and tired today and hope I get out of the club at a decent time so I can get some sleep and get ready since I have to work at the shop for a few hours before I pick up my wife (so I get there without getting lost, what would I do without her) and head to Omaha.

good luck inthe crit, just remember to be safe. some of those guys in Cat 5 have no idea of how to handle a bike......so gives the name "Crash 5"
Good luck B! Haven't yet had ANY urge to so much as think about racing, but I've noticed big improvements lately... more to follow on the blog about that. Hope you do really well, can't wait to hear the outcome.
