Weight Goal & Miles

Not to much happening for me this weekend. Had a very long a day yesterday judging a culinary competition. Just standing, watching and evaluating makes for a very long day. The best thing that did happen yesterday was that when I weighed myself I hit my goal of 165 lbs and was actually .5 lbs under. I wanted to hit it by my first race of the season but I will take it by my second.

Today was a much better day. Got up nice and early like I like and headed out to pioneers park for some hilly miles. I really like going out early in the morning when I can have the park pretty much to myself. Kinda wish I could have gotten out into wilderness park for some trail time but I hadn't gotten the play in the rear der fixed yet. no problem though I haven't taken out the road bike for a long ride since I had the new ritchey stem put on it. I really noticed the difference. It's a bit longer and straighter and I really liked the change in the position both sitting and out of the saddle on the steeper climbs. I got a little over 36 miles in. This will probably be my last big ride before my race on Saturday. Plan on spending the week taking it a bit easier and training tomorrow and Tuesday and then I'm gonna have to see about the rest of the week, its busy at arborlinks so I'm going to have to spend some extra time there later in the week. Gotta run and figure out what I'm gonna eat for lunch tomorrow. Gotta start to think about carb-loading. Later.

Great work on the weight Harp! I'm still working on hitting my goal before the fist race. I set another goal of 170 by the end of July. By the end of summer I hope to be where you are at: 165.
