Shocking

Shocked is the only word I can use to explain how I felt yesterday after my wife and I discovered she was pregnant. The reason we are so shocked is cause we didn't think that she would be able to have kids again. My wife has endometriosis. Which usually ends up with a woman having to have a hysterectomy. She had a surgery for it in 2006 and after that there was a possibility of having another kid so we tried with no luck and both of us had just dealt with the fact that we couldn't have any more and were happy with the two we had. So when she took her third pregnancy test yesterday and it came back positive 3 for 3 we just couldn't believe it. She has been having the same symptoms as with the other 2 but we just didn't think it was possible. Of course now that we are past the shock of it we are very excited. Our 2 kids are also. I wish I had a picture of the literally dropped jaw look they gave us when we told them. Big surprise my son wants a little brother and my daughter wants a little sister.

Other than that I haven't really trained at all the past few days. Yesterday I felt horrible and thought that I might be coming down with a cold. I was freaking out with it being a race week but I feel much better today. Tonight after work I had some bike related business to take care of (I'll talk about it tomorrow but I'm super pumped about it. See if you can figure it out.) and then I took the kids for a bike ride to the park. I will hope to get out and put in a good hard effort in the dirt tomorrow and then take it a little easier on the training side in preparation for the race on Saturday. Later.

Congrats Harp! Three kids will keep you insane for many years to come. I told the wife no more at my house, we already have three kids. When you go to four, you radically have to change things that cost a bunch of money; house, cars, grocery bills... With three you can get a way with a normal sized car and house, but they still eat you in to the poor house!

Do I see a new bike in your future? Pink? Hopefully we get to race this weekend. I know both Ryan and I are heading up there if it's on.

Ohhhhh CONGRATS!!! A baby! That is awesome, glad everyone is happy about this!

Harp - I will never have kids, no way. I am way too fucked up to be passing on these genes. If me and Dominic want kids, we have agreed to adopt.
