The exam is finally over. I passed and am ready to move on. I did enjoy the prep and taking the exam but I'm ready to get back to training. I'm already getting super motivated for next season. The new Bike Pedalers team is moving along. Being on the team is going to change a lot of things for me big time but I'll talk more about that later. But I'm really looking forward to being on it. The small core group of guys on the team are all good guys and really motivated to work hard for next season.
I've been trying to get back on the bike some. The only real riding I've done has been on the last couple of Sunday mornings. I've hit wilderness park for a couple of long easy paced rides. I was hoping to start up training right away but that hasn't been as easy as I would have liked. I am really behind at the college. I spent all my office time practicing and got myself backed up along with my heavy load of classes since the fall term is when we get the biggest intake of new students. I also lost my chef de cuisine at ArborLinks so I'm having to fill the role of my full time person along with the resposabilities I already had. Lucky for me it's getting towards the end of the golf season. I need to get caught up so I have set my plan to get back into full blown training to Nov. 1
I did get back on the trainer last night for a little while. It felt pretty good and I was planning on getting up early this morning and get a core workout in but when I woke up I felt horrible. My head was pounding and my stomach was doing all sorts of crazy things. I went back to bed thinking if I got a bit more sleep I might be able to make it to work. That didn't happen but the problem was I couldn't find a sub so I willed myself into the car and tried to make it in. I felt really great when I got sick at a stoplight on the busiest street in town. I got lucky though when I got a call back with someone to cover my class and was able to get back home and into bed for about another 7 hours.
I'm finally feeling better now. But another day missing from school puts me even farther behind. But I'll make it through. I'm going to train as much as I can. I should have my training room ready to go in the next couple of days.
That's about all I can do for now. Still a bit tired.

So what is all needed in a training room?
Get well soon. The training room!! Sounds like an interesting idea.
The training room is more of a place where I can set up my bike on the trainer with a tv and a mat to do my core stuff on that is out of the way of everyone. It's a tiny little room in our basement. It also serves as a place to store my mountain bike and a little bit of my gear.
Hey congrats on the exec chef. Here's a good workout for you. Take a bucket full of wet concrete and carry it around that golf course and fill every hole you see with a flag sticking out of it.
That should dwindle the numbers and free up some time for bike rides.

Sounds like a plan B.
